We’re excited to announce that the Pacific Rim Volleyball’s Boys Club is expanding!
In collaboration with CORE Volleyball Club, we’re adding teams in the East Bay that will practice out of CORE’s facility in Dublin starting this upcoming 2015-2016 season.
The collaboration between CORE Volleyball. and Pacific Rim dates back a number of years. CORE’s club director Prima Elam, and Pacific Rim club director Roger Worsley coached together during USAV’s High Performance program. And a number of Pacific Rim athlete, and coaches are participating with coach Elam in taking the NCVA Regional High Performance team to the USA Volleyball High Performance National Championship’s this summer.
Pacific Rim is recognized as one of the top volleyball clubs in Northern California and the country. The boys club has won five straight NCVA Regional Championships dating back to its inaugural year in 2010. In 2014, the club’s U17 team won the U.S. Boys Junior National Championship, and had more athletes than any other club on the U.S. National Team. Members of the 2014 U17 National Championship-winning team are going onto some of the country’s top colleges and volleyball powerhouses including Stanford University, University of Hawaii, Loyola of Chicago, UC Santa Cruz and others.
Pacific Rim will hold tryouts for all of its 2015-2016 boys teams – including athletes in the U12, U14, U15, U16, U17 and U18 age groups — at the CORE training facility located in Dublin, CA on Saturday, August 8. Many of the CORE coaches will join Pacific Rim’s Coaching staff for the boys season, and work directly with coach Worsley on training plans designed to help athletes take their games to the next level and prepare for college play.
Pacific Rim remains headquartered in Pleasant Hill, running boys training out of the club’s main facility at 2424 Estand Way, while adding training at the CORE facility at 6270 Houston Place, Suite B in Dublin for the upcoming 2015-2016 season.
The Pacific Rim Girl’s Volleyball Club and Beach Club remain separate entities, and continue to operate out of their Pleasant Hill home facility.
